Bad Thing About Answerbag

Written by Basis-Consultant on 11:45 AM

One of my answerbag account is deleted or suspended. Some one might have complained on it. Even though i haven't spammed. Answerbag must provide an option to keep your Q&A private as in Yahoo Answers. Though answerbag is not a great traffic generator as Yahoo Answers but it is still a good place to promote your site and get traffic. Hopefully they will take a look into that.

Be careful When answering on Yahoo Answers

Written by Basis-Consultant on 12:37 AM

One of my yahoo answers account got suspended for violating community guide lines. Yahoo can suspend your account for any stupid reason. BUT, before that its better than you take precaution about how to answer. Here are some guide lines

1) Make your Q&A network private. Go to Edit you Profile Setting and set the following settings as shown in figure..2) Give only relevant information. Don't go just answering randomly and irritating people.
3) Linking in every answers is fine as long as your answer is relevant to that question.
4) Don't vote as best answers for your other profiles (if you have any)

Answer Questions in Yahoo Answers to bring More Traffic

Written by Basis-Consultant on 2:02 PM

Yahoo Answers is one of the most or is the most popular community where people get answers to their questions and solutions for their problems.

You can get lot of traffic from yahoo answers if you answer questions correctly on yahoo answers. There are lot of people who don't know even the basics of your niche who are searching for answers an would be more than happy if you can give them a perfect answer. One of my website gets atleast 500 visitors from yahoo answers only!!. Just think about how much traffic it can bring to you. All you have to do is just sign in with your yahoo account and start answering questions that fall in your category.

Also don't just answer as random to any question. First determine whether the question falls in your niche and answer. You can even get ideas on what to blog from reading those question and answers. Yahoo answers is one of the most undiscovered source of traffic i would say.

Yahoo answers show up in high rank in search results of google so you will get more traffic from yahoo answers. There is also another service but less popular than yahoo answers. It is answerbag.

Ucomment Ifollow is only for Beginners ?

Written by Basis-Consultant on 2:22 PM

As i have explained the ucomment ifollow movement which give back link value for comments. But is not fruitful. The way bloggers give back link value to comments it attracts a lot of spam. It just that the whole Ifollow movement is for beginners to attract attention or to receive feedback. Once your blog is large enough you have to enable nofollow tag to prevent spam and those who comment only to get back link value adding no value to discussion. Here is one of the popular blog Jackbook's comment form with warning not to comment only for back links....

Join the Ucomment IFollow movement

Written by Basis-Consultant on 6:50 PM

When i comment on a blog i want it to be useful to time and worth of my time so that i can bring extra traffic to my site. Many of the blogger templates have this "NOFOLLOW" inserted in code for "comments" to prevent spam (which no longer works). This discourages comments. Many beginners get frustrated due to lack of comments (which is one of their main source of motivation, but writing passionately will make your blog popular anyway). You should join U comment I Follow movement. Go to your HTML source code in the blog (goto layout ----> edit html & check Expand Widget templates button).

Now search for NOFOLLOW word in your source code and remove rel='nofollow' where ever it appear. Now the visitors who comment on your blog get a back link to their blog by which the google & other search engine bots can crawl to their blog. Also display a badge (get one form here UComment IFollow Badges) on your blog which tells your visitors that commenting on your blog is beneficial .

But there are other views. Most of the big blogs keep this nofollow attribute to prevent spam by humans... Read my post about Ifollow bandwagoon for beginners?

Anchoring in a blog or Naming you links properly

Written by Basis-Consultant on 4:40 PM

When you link to an external page on a website then use relevant words instead of using words like visit here. Suppose you are linking to a tutorial on gardening, link it is
Gardening Tutorial than writing visit here for a tutorial on gardening. This is one of the search engine optimization techniques which will improve your page rank.

Categories or Labels

Written by Basis-Consultant on 10:24 AM

Categorizing your post in relevant categories is very important for your visitor to find similar content he is looking for. Suppose you visitor gets to your site with a keyword related to medicine, he will try to find what other posts are there in the same category.
This will increase your page count by navigation on your blog easy and helps your visitor finding more information. A category organizes your blog and makes it accessible.

You can add the categories widget to your blog

Making a Sitemap or Blog Map for you Blog

Written by Basis-Consultant on 10:23 AM

This concept is derived from the sitemap of a website. Is it useful? There is one rule for website masters. All pages of a website must be within two clicks from the main page. This can be achieved by sitemap or Blogmap. In your blog map you can list all the posts in you blog category wise and it will be helpful for a visitor to see all the contents of your blog in one page. I personally visit sitemaps of blog map if available so that I can view the content I am interested in. This will also boost the internal page ranking and draws more visits to less frequently visited pages of your blog.
